We know that the pandemic is not over and that we need to carry on working together for things to get better. We also know that the arts and culture have become essential for dealing with the crisis and facing up to uncertainty. Is there anything better than being able to enjoy them again together as a community?

Since we want to support this endeavor, at Santiago a Mil we are implementing a gradual strategy to create a festival that is safe for both the public and our employees. That is why we will follow strict health and safety guidelines, adapting to each of the phases of the Ministry of Health’s Step by Step Plan, depending on what happens in each part of the country.

Guaranteeing that areas are safe does not only depend on us. We also need your help. That is why we will describe the main measures and alternatives for Santiago a Mil next, so that you can join us and we can all look after each other.

IN EVERY PHASE

As opposed to last year’s festival, this year you can take part in the festival in person, whatever phase the place the function is being held in is in. To do so, you must have a Mobility Pass and take self-care measures, such as always using a mask, respecting physical distance, undergoing a temperature check, consuming food and drink in a certain way and not sharing it with or letting others touch any of it, etc.

For our part, we will comply with the following health and safety measures, which will be implemented in both open-air and enclosed venues in every phase:

  • Obligatory use of a Mobility Pass.
  • Online ticket purchase or sign-up for the public.
  • Compliance with the maximum capacity allowed as per each phase and registering of contact details in case it is necessary to track and trace.
  • Sanitization of the venue before the function.
  • Entrances and exits separated and access organized to enter and exit the venue avoiding overcrowding.
  • Adequate ventilation in enclosed spaces.
  • Obligatory use of masks.
  • Temperature check at entrance.
  • Seats separated to maintain the physical distance each phase requires.
  • Alcohol gel dispensers at entrances and exits.

Although we will put on functions in every phase of the Step By Step Plan - as well as offering an online program at Teatroamil.tv, Zoom and on other digital platforms - these will be held according to the different limits put on venues’ capacity. Next are details of each of these, although you should be aware that the authorities could issue updates and changes.
