  • The work leads the audience to confront the absences left by such violence, revealing the fissures of impunity that it leaves in families and collective memory. Text, direction, and performances explore these themes deeply, avoiding sensationalism or didacticism, and choosing poetry as an act of resistance.
  • As a project funded by the National Latinx Theater Initiative, it reaffirms the mission to support Latinx theater companies, strengthen their presence in the U.S. and international theater scene, and expand awareness of Ibero-American realities to new audiences.

A play about the human rights violations suffered by those who fight for truth — and dare to share it with the world.

Two journalists plunge into a landscape of violence where cruelty has become a habit, impunity is routine, freedom feels like a dream, and telling the truth is the greatest risk of all.

Inspired by real events, Las delicadas lágrimas de la luna menguante, written by Rebeca Alemán, delves into the harsh human rights abuses faced by those who defend truth. The moving story follows Paulina — a journalist and advocate for victims of femicide and Indigenous communities — as she awakens from a coma after a brutal attack.

Guided by the memories of her mother, her daughter, and her closest friend Rodrigo, she struggles to piece her memory back together and seek justice. Fragments of her past come alive in unexpected ways, offering a deeply emotional reflection on memory, loss, and hope.
