With a striking blend of cinema, literature, and theater, La Contadora de Películas by Teatrocinema returns to Teatro a Mil to showcase its unique visual and narrative style.
María Margarita has been chosen as the best movie teller in the mining camp of the old saltpeter works. After watching the films projected at the company theater, she comes back to recount them — performing, singing, acting out romances, adventures, and epic tales for the spellbound miners and their families. But the camp, its people, and even the saltpeter itself are all doomed to disappear. Over the course of a single life, everything fades away.
In the end, only María Margarita will remain, along with her ghosts — the inhabitants of her own imagination.
