HUMO is a stage production with a fragmentary structure, because—much like a demonstration—it does not follow a linear, continuous path. The piece takes shape through the sensations and events that unfold during a protest, presenting a series of actions that emerge intermittently and then suddenly vanish.
This interdisciplinary creation explores the ethical, poetic, aesthetic, and political dimensions between the body and the collective within acts of protest. From a territory of denunciation, resistance, memory, presence, and representation, the artistic gesture is conceived both as critique and as a kind of homage to resistance and civil disobedience.
