More than 130 years after it was written, August Strindberg’s Creditors comes back to life on stage under the direction of Alexis Moreno, laying bare human passion in its rawest, most violent form through a love triangle embodied by Francisco Reyes, Paloma Moreno, and Mario Horton.

A married couple is spending their vacation at a distant seaside resort. After a heated argument, Tecla leaves for a few days, and her husband Adolfo sinks into despair, haunted by dark thoughts and doubts about his entire life. When another man, Gustavo—older and seemingly wiser—appears and warns him about the shadowy side of his wife, Adolfo is slowly convinced that Tecla is selfish, that she’s taken his freedom, and drained his spirit to the core.

But when Tecla discovers Gustavo’s true intentions, she decides to confront him, sparking a psychological battle where each character’s morality is pushed to the limit—until the story reaches a tragic, inevitable end.
