The company

Dreaming of promoting the performing arts in the Chilean south

The center is an organization which has served the areas of production and training in the performing arts, especially contemporary dance in the city of Valdivia. It is also accompanying other creative processes through its project management. A diverse, multidisciplinary and multifunctional team that seeks the promotion and professionalization of the performing arts in southern Chile. This line of action has allowed them to bet on a strategy that continues the learning processes of performers and producers, working closely with institutions and companies for the development of local artistic productions.

-Because the play is a very interesting reflection on love, the crossover between animality and humanity, and the hybrid narrative of creation, thanks to a dramaturgy built from different perceptions and sources.

-Because the performance is the result of the union of two solos that enhance and unite to create a new work with daring aesthetic decisions, such as the recording in black and white and the introduction of masks worn by the performers.

Videodance: A genre that arises from the experimentation between dance and image capturing. It dates back to the emergence of video art and the beginnings of cinema, and its evolution runs parallel throughout history. It should be emphasized that these are not video recordings of a dance, but rather dance and camera establishing a symbiotic relationship. In such performances, the choreography process typically exists only on film or video. “Neither dance nor the means of manifesting it are at the service of each other. They are partners or collaborators in the creation of a hybrid form", as defined by American filmmaker and theorist Douglas Rosemberg.
