<<Just as the world's climate has long been in disarray, in Yoshiko Waki and Uwe Köhler's production part of the scenic landscape becomes an inclined plane on which people struggle not to fall. Sometimes tragic, sometimes funny and always, literally, bizarre>>

By Theater Titanick in collaboration with the dancer theater Bodytalk
The German theater Titanick presents KIPPPUNKT, a play set in the middle of the city, but among ice floes and mountain peaks. Aimed at all audiences, KIPPPUNKT is an astonishing allegory of the climate crisis, which makes us reflect not only on our relationship with nature, but with all of humanity.
A group of people celebrate a wedding on top of a mountain, not counting on the fact that nature will surprise them with a storm. Although they don't seem to care, the force of the elements is powerful and the life that emanates from the old mountain will be impossible to ignore.
KIPPPUNKT is an allegory of the climate crisis. Not didactic, but astonishing. Not abstract, but so absurdly tangible that everyone can identify with it. Amidst floating ice and mountain peaks, this piece of elemental force raises the question of what we cling to as the world tilts. Surreal, visually powerful, imaginative and absurdly funny, it addresses one of the most pressing phenomena of our time.
